Disclaimer
When contributing please note that I, Ragno, retain ownership of the Encyclopedia Mysenvaria and reserve the sole right to monetize it.
By submitting content you promise that your contribution is your property and agree that it may become part of the project. As such it may be used, modified, or monetized without need for further permission. This does not mean you forfeit your copyright or moral rights. You retain ownership, but by contributing you grant the Encyclopedia Mysenvaria an irrevocable license to use your submission however it pleases.
You also acknowledge that, due to the project’s license terms, others may copy, modify, and redistribute your content under the same terms.
For more information see the Contribution Guidelines and CLA on the GitHub.
Warning
Although the Encyclopedia Mysenvaria website will not be monetized, future plans for the project outside of the website may include monetization!
By contributing you agree that any content you submit becomes property of the project, and may be monetized with no need for further permission.
Info
Contributors may request to have their name, and a link to a social page of their choosing, added to the Contributors page. The contributors page is linked at the footer of the website, accessible from all pages.
If you’ve contributed to the Encyclopedia Mysenvaria and wish to be listed, please open a new GitHub Issue with proof of your prior contribution. Being added to the Contributors page is not automatic and must be requested manually.
By virtue of the way the encyclopedia is built it is very easy to contribute to the project—but before you do, there’s some things to understand!
- As described by the license: the Encyclopedia Mysenvaria’s content is NOT open-source—It’s backend/code, Quartz, is.
- Failure to comply with the Code of Conduct may result in your contribution privileges being restricted or removed.
- The Encyclopedia Mysenvaria is a personal project and part of a much larger vision. I am not looking for major writing contributions.
- Moderators have final authority over all contributions and decisions. The most helpful contributions are the most minor ones, like grammar fixes and topical discussions! Creative additions are not off-limits, but they are reviewed under significantly more scrutiny so as to maintain the overarching themes, ideas, and lore that has been constructed for the setting.
Contribution and Submission Policy
This policy applies to all content (found in the ‘content/’ folder of the repository) and code (everything else) submitted to the Project through GitHub or other platforms.
By contributing to the Project, you agree that:
- Your contribution is your own original work and/or you have the legal right to submit under the applicable license.
- You retain copyright ownership but grant the Project a perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free license to use, modify, adapt, or ignore your submission at its sole discretion.
- Submission does not guarantee inclusion. Contributions may be edited or removed without notice.
- Submissions classified as content are licensed under CC BY-NC.
- Submissions classified as code are licensed under MIT.

Contribution Methods
Contributing comes in many forms, depending on what you’re looking for! Here I label them all:
- Direct Contribution! This is contribution which visibly impacts the encyclopedia, it comes in the form of directly adding text, image, or video content to the encyclopedia. This is the most intensive form of contribution, but also the most scrutinized. While direct contributions are appreciated, to maintain the standards of the encyclopedia they are combed through vigorously!
- GitHub pull requests are complex. They allow you to directly recommend changes, additions, or deletions across the encyclopedia and its backend.
- GitHub Issues are easy to make, and a great way to suggest edits across the encyclopedia.
- Contribution via Discussion! This form of contribution does not visibly change the encyclopedia, but it does add content! Joining the discord (even to lurk!), logging into GitHub to discuss articles in comments, or voicing your opinion on direct contribution comment sections are all ways to contribute via discussion!
- Every page has a comment section, powered by giscus, which every user can freely talk in! Giscus uses GitHub discussions, which you can also use instead of giscus, if you would like!
- The Discord is another great place to strike up a discussion regarding the encyclopedia! Though it is not directly related to the Encyclopedia Mysenvaria in the same way GitHub discussions is.
- Monetary Contribution! The Encyclopedia Mysenvaria is not monetized: it’s a free resource for anyone who can access it! I donate a lot of my time to writing this resource and would love to continue doing so in the future—maybe even expanding into new avenues—and monetary contributions help me do so!
- My Ko-fi is the one and only place you can contribute to the project monetarily!
